Styling & Branding
Appearance controls let you match the quiz to your brand, from colors and borders to logos and branding visibility.
This guide will walk you through:
- Where appearance settings live
- What each control changes
- Plan requirements for branding removal
When to use this
Use this when you are ready to make the quiz feel native to your site.
How it works
Appearance settings live under Interface > Appearance & Style for each quiz. You can control:
- Primary color (hex-only input)
- Background color (optional)
- Widget border for embedded widget and public page views
- Header display mode (Always, first question only, pre-start CTA, or hidden)
- Start button label and optional subtext when the pre-start CTA is active
- Navigation button alignment (left, center, or right)
- QuizFlow Labs branding visibility (paid plans)
- Chatbot launcher text when the Public view style is Chatbot

Note
Screenshot coming soon.
Step-by-step
- Open a quiz and go to Interface > Appearance & Style.
- Enter Primary and optional background colors (hex values only).
- Toggle the widget border, choose a header display mode, and customize the Start label or subtext when Pre-start CTA is visible.
- Align navigation buttons and toggle branding visibility if your plan allows it.
- If you use the Chatbot public style, edit the launcher text to keep the bubble on brand.
Tips / Gotchas
- Branding removal requires a paid plan (Basic or higher).
- Background color is optional; leave it blank to inherit whatever sits behind the embed.
- Header display choices update instantly; choose Pre-start CTA to expose the Start button label and optional subtext fields.
- Changes auto-save after a short delay and refresh the preview automatically.
