Quiz Details

The first section of the Intro & Bio Funnel step is Quiz Header. It defines the title, slug, intro message, social links, and optional header image that can appear before or during the hosted quiz experience.

This guide will walk you through:

  • Naming the quiz and keeping the slug human-friendly and shareable.
  • Writing the Quiz Intro Message used in the header/intro area.
  • Adding social profile links that render as clickable icons in the header.
  • Selecting an optional header image from Media Library and controlling its alignment, size, and compression.
  • Understanding how the Bio Funnel Builder in the same step controls the pre-start page.
  • Understanding how Interface settings control when header content is visible.
  • Saving the form and continuing to the Questions step.

When to use this

Use the Quiz Header section when you want to brand the quiz, control the share link, or prime respondents with the right expectations before you build the question flow.

For section/container/block editing before quiz start, use the dedicated Bio Funnel Builder guide. If your traffic comes from social profiles, follow the creator bio conversion framework to structure CTAs for conversion.

How it works

  • Title & slug: Enter a descriptive title and the slug field keeps a lowercase, hyphenated version for the public link. The slug is kept in sync with the title while it is empty, but once you edit it manually the builder preserves whatever you set. Clearing the slug will resume automatic generation on blur.
  • Quiz Intro Message: Use the rich text editor to describe what respondents will experience. The editor accepts up to 5,000 characters.
  • Header image: Use Choose from library to select an optional profile/banner image. If the image is not in your Media Library yet, upload it from the picker dialog first. Basic and higher plans can add a header image (Free sees an upgrade hint inside the builder), and direct file uploads are compressed to 600 KB before saving.

Use the remove button whenever you want to start over.

  • Social links: Add up to 4 links in Details by selecting a platform and pasting the destination URL. The intro screen renders each link as an icon, tinted with the Primary color from Interface settings, and each icon opens in a new browser tab.
  • Continue & save: Clicking Continue -> Build Questions saves the details and opens the Questions step. The builder also lets you revisit the Details step later via the stepper if you need to tweak the title, slug, or Quiz Intro Message before publishing.

Step-by-step

  1. Enter a quiz title. The slug syncs automatically until you type directly into the slug field.
  2. Adjust the slug so the share link is concise and descriptive; only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens are allowed.
  3. Write the Quiz Intro Message that accompanies the quiz intro screen (up to 5,000 characters).
  4. Add up to 4 social links by choosing a platform and entering each URL.
  5. Use Choose from library to select an optional header image (Basic+ plan), then set the alignment and width.
  6. Click Continue -> Build Questions to persist the details and move to the Questions step.

Tips / Gotchas

  • Keep titles short and descriptive to help publishers and respondents scan the quiz list.
  • The Quiz Intro Message is shared with respondents and the hosted page meta preview, so treat it like the quiz elevator pitch.
  • Social icons use the Interface settings primary color, so update branding there if you want stronger contrast.
  • Intro social links open in a new tab to keep quiz progress intact.
  • Header images are selected from Media Library. If an upload is rejected while adding media to the library, try lowering the resolution or using a JPG instead of a PNG.
  • Use the width slider to set the focal point: 25% is great for logos while 100% fills the full width with the image aligned automatically.
  • After saving, you can always reopen the Details step from the sticky navigation to rename or swap banners without affecting question content.
