Create Your First Quiz

Start a quiz from the dashboard and walk through the four-step wizard: Details, Questions (Question Blocks), Completion, and Finish.

This guide will walk you through:

  • Creating a new quiz from the dashboard
  • Setting quiz details (title, slug, description)
  • Adding question blocks and a lead capture block

When to use this

Use this when you want to launch your first quiz or set up a new flow for a different audience.

How it works

The quiz wizard guides you through:

  • Details: title, slug, description, banner image, and completion copy.
  • Questions: add question blocks and lead capture.
  • Completion: write the completion message, choose whether the total score or responses are displayed, and add score-based rules (Pro).
  • Finish: review status, publish, and share.

Quiz details step

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Dashboard > Quizzes > Create Quiz.
  2. Add a Quiz title and confirm the Slug used for the public URL.
  3. Write a short Description to set expectations for respondents.
  4. Optionally upload a banner image (available on Basic and higher).
  5. Select Save or Continue to questions.
  6. Add question blocks and a Lead Capture block if you want contact details.
  7. Select Save or Continue to completion.
  8. Set the completion message and optionally use {{total_score}}.
  9. Select Save or Continue to finish.
  10. Review status and publish options in Finish.

Keep responses private

When you reach the completion step, toggle Display responses off before saving to keep the question-and-answer list hidden from respondents. The setting is persisted with the quiz, so once it is saved the completion card will honor that privacy preference even after publishing or rerunning the quiz.

Tips / Gotchas

  • The slug becomes part of your public link (for example /q/your-slug).
  • Custom completion copy and banner image uploads are gated to paid plans.
  • Use the Display responses toggle to hide the question-and-answer list from respondents while still showing your completion copy.
  • If you have unsaved changes, you will be prompted before continuing.
  • You can preview the quiz before publishing it.
